Apricot Custard dessert

Ingredients:

  1. Qubani(Apricot): 1Kg
  2. sugar: 800 gms(adjust according to your taste)
  3. water:1.5 litres
  4. color: red( or optional)
  5. custard powder: 2 tablespoons
  6. milk: 500 ml

Method:

  1. wash the apricots with water ans soak them overnight. Do not throw the soaked water as we will be using it to cook the apricots.

  2. Apricot
  3. nextday morning separate the qubani with the seeds. keep the seeds aside for garnishing.

  4. Apricot seeds
  5. take a saucepan add qubani with the soaked water and cook for 10-12 minutes on medium flame.
  6. add sugar and cook for 20 minutes until the mixture becomes thick and water dries up. Keep stirring in between.Add the colour if you like to.

  7. Apricot Custard
  8. switch off the flame and let it cool.
  9. now boil milk and and 2 tablespoons of sugar.
  10. add custard powder to three tablespoons of milk in a bowl and mix well without any lumps.
  11. add the custard mixture to milk slowly with stirring continously.
  12. switch off the flame and let it cool.
  13. In a serving dish add a layer of qubani ka meetha  and top it with custard and almonds (seeds) .
  14. serve
