Quinoa is gluten-free, high in protein and one of the few plant foods that contain sufficient amounts of all nine essential amino acids.. It is also high in fiber, magnesium, B vitamins, iron, potassium, calcium, phosphorus, vitamin E and various beneficial antioxidants. 

Ingredients:

  1. Quinoa: half cup ( measure with tea cup)
  2. Moong dal: 3/4 cup( use same cup used above)
  3. Onion: 1 small sliced
  4. Salt: as per taste
  5. Turmeric powder:1/4 teaspoon
  6. Red chilli powder:1/2 teaspoon
  7. Green chillies:1
  8. Corriander leaves:a handful
  9. Carrot grated:1
  10. Ghee:1 tablespoons
  11. Ginger garlic paste:1/2 teaspoon

Method:

  1. Soak quinoa and moong dal in water for half an hour.
  2. Drain the water .
  3. Heat ghee in a pressure cooker
  4. When the ghee is hot add sliced onion and saute till golden brown.
  5. Add ginger garlic paste and saute for few seconds.
  6. Add soaked quinoa and moong dal and saute well.
  7. Add salt, Red chilli powder, turmeric powder and saute for 2 minutes with continuous stirring.
  8. Add 3 glasses of water and close the lid.
  9. Pressure cook for 5-6 vessels until it is cooked well.
  10. Let it cool completely and open the pressure cooker.
  11. Garnish with coriander leaves, green chillies and grated carrot.
  12. Healthy and gluten free porridge is ready.
  13. Serve hot.
