French fries
Ingredients:
- Potatoes: 1 kg
- Oil: for frying
- Salt: 1 1/2 teaspoon ( as per taste)
- Red chilli powder:2 teaspoon
- Chat masala powder:1 teaspoon
Method:
- Peel the potatoes
- Cut into long thin shaped pieces as shown below.
- Soak all the potatoes in cold water for an hour.
- Boil water and add the soaked potatoes and boil for two minutes.
- Remove and pat dry all the potatoes to remove moisture.
- Heat oil in a pan.
- When the oil is hot add half of the potatoes and fry for three minutes.
- Remove and add the remaining half and fry for three minutes.
- Now after the potatoes are cooled again heat the oil and fry the potatoes until they turn golden brown.
- Remove the potatoes.
- Mix all the spices and sprinkle on the fried potatoes.
- Mix well.
- Serve with any chutney or sauce.
