Keep yourselves hydrated during Summers

The best way to beat the heat during Summers is to keep yourselves hydrated. The best way for this is drinking lots and lots of water. But yes we do want something great for our taste buds so replace few glasses of water with these refreshing juices which are full of vitamins and anti-oxidants. They keep your body hydrated as well as provide vitamins and minerals needed for your body. Do not turn to soft drinks instead prepare these fresh juices at home with my following recipes and enjoy !

Summers

1:Lassi(salted)

Curd is the best cooler which is used in summers. It keeps your body hydrated and boost your energy levels.It reduces your stress and also lowers anxiety.

Curd is packed with healthiest bacteria and it is a great food for healthier gut.It acts as a probiotic and helps improve digestion and also good for bloating.With minerals like zinc, phosphorus and vitamin E, curd naturally improves skin quality like no skin cream can. 

People who are lactose-intolerant can opt for curd as it has pretty much the same benefits of milk. Curd keeps the body cool. It also keeps your stomach cool, so you can have it when you're suffering from indigestion.


Ingredients:

  1. Curd: 1 cup
  2. Salt: as per taste
  3. Mint leaves: 4-5 leaves
  4. Zeera powder: a pinch of it nearly 1/4 teaspoon
  5. Green chilli: 1/2( optional don't use if you does want chillies)
  6. Black Salt:1/4 teaspoon or less ( don't add too much )
  7. Water:1/2 cup

Method:

  1. Put all the ingredients in a juicer and run it for a minute.
  2. Take it out in a glass and add ice cubes to it.
  3. Serve chill.

2:Pineapple  Lemonade:

Pineapple is another fruit which we can't ignore in summer. It is rich in fibre and is good in improving your skin health and complexion.Pineapple is also good for digestion.

Pineapple Lemonade

Ingredients:

  1. Pineapple slice: 2 (or you can take one cup pineapple juice)
  2. Lemon juice: one lemon
  3. Sugar: 11/2 teaspoons
  4. Mint leaves:5-6
  5. Water:one cup
  6. Ice cubes:3-4

Method:

  1. Put all the ingredients except ice cubes in a mixer juicer and blend well.
  2. Strain the mixture. Add ice cubes
  3. Serve chill
Pineapple Lemonade

3:Watermelon Lemonade

watermelon is full of amazing health benefits, especially during the summer season.Watermelon also helps maintain acid-based balance in the body and It helps you to keep hydrated and active. It is also good for health.

Watermelon lemonade

Ingredients:

  1. 6 cups cubed watermelon
  2. 4 cups cold water
  3. 3/4 cup fresh strained lemon juice
  4. 2/3 cup  sugar (more or less to taste)
  5. Ice and fresh mint for serving

Method:

  1. Pour water, watermelon cubes,sugar and lemon juice in a mixer juicer and blend well.
  2. Strain the mixture or you can serve as it is.
  3. Add ice cubes in a glass and pour the juice. Add crushed mint leaves(2-3) for garnishing and a good flavour.
